The LUMNIA microscopes are built upon an innovative modular design comprising a basic digital microscope platform and several add-on units. When these modules are put together with the basic unit, a long list of custom configurations become possible, either as standard versions or as after-sales hardware upgrades. The following list of models is, in fact, a composition of hi tech, scalable optoelectronic modules, so that your microscope gets bigger and better, growing together with your projects and accomplishments. All LUMNIA versions come with our Phenotype software suite, which offers many options for image acquisition, processing and telemedicine. LUMNIA-S is our basic digital microscope platform combining live, high definition digital imaging with zoom optics of superb quality. The zooming feature varies continuously the magnification, using a single objective. It operates at a long working distance for added freedom with regard to the volume of the sample, while at the same time eliminating the need for immersion oil.  more…

LUMNIA-FL is our fluorescence microscope having as critical part the polyline light source-a diode laser array. The polyline is integrated as an attachment onto the basic microscope platform, providing narrow-band and efficient fluorescence excitation. Laser line excitation leaves sufficient spectral space for the imaging module to uncouple the emissions from multiple different fluorophores with overlapping spectra.  The whole system is built upon an innovative design, allowing for the real-time inspection of multiple fluorophores simultaneously and for the quantitative fluorescence intensity mapping.  more…

LUMNIA-HS is a hyperspectral microscope enabling spectroscopy to be performed at the sub-micron regime. Our MUSES9-HS hyperspectral camera is coupled with either the –S or the –FL model, offering transmission, reflection and fluorescence spectroscopy, real-time spectral imaging and spectral mapping. LUMNIA-N is the world’s first manually operated microscope integrating a navigation system. This innovative add-on kit allows for the real time visualization of the location of the inspected magnified image, over a digital-overview image of the sample. The inspected field-of-view appears as a frame onto the overview image, the size of which varies automatically with the magnification. This way, the images of the inspected areas are tagged with their XY coordinates when stored.  Moreover, the stored/analyzed image frames are marked onto the overview image for guiding retrieval and for minimizing the risk for missing important areas. more…

LUMNIA-R is our robotic microscope version enabling the automated, whole-slide digitization. It is compatible with the –S–FL, and –HS models and captures bright field, fluorescence and/or spectral images in a fully automated manner. The whole slide is scanned in a step-by-step fashion and the stored images are stitched together producing a high fidelity, high resolution image of the examined sample.  The microscope has a large motorized XY-stage supporting the upload of multiple slides, in every scanning session.

LUMNIA-PB is a robotic cell shorting microscope. It adds the sample collection/ manipulation facility to the LUMNIA microscope family. A motorized, Z-axis capillary holder, added onto the supporting structure of the models listed above, allows for the manual or automated collection-transferring-deposition of single cells or particles for subsequent analyses. When combined with the LUMNIA-RB configurationthe result is an advanced robotic cell shorting machine.
